Custom molded Dichrolam specific for wall mirrors, as it has a central bookmatch for "torso vectoring". This extreme composite of dichroic film suspended within clear resin over metallized backing film creates several optical effects to bend the mind:
1. Color change at angled view from real dichroic core
2. Both reflective AND transmissive color, as transmitted color reflects off backing film
3. "Lens effect" from actual 3D formed wave pattern that appears miles deep under the flat surface (satin hardcoated PE film).
4. "Infinite mirror" effect seen at angled view when light is trapped, then bounces between dichroic layer and mirror backing film, causing inter-reflective lines similar to video feedback.
This is without question, the most visually dynamic surface in the world, earning Dichrolam its status in the top ten list at Material ConneXion, the cover of Interior Design, Healthcare Design and Metropolis magazine.
All mounted to stable BB plywood with glass mirror insert and heavy steel stiffeners, signed by Dichrolam's inventor and ready to hang.
